CCDSA, in partnership with EmpowerU Community Development Institute, successfully hosted a Voter and Civic Education Dialogue at Ntuzuma A Hall on 4 March 2026. The dialogue formed part of a shared commitment to advancing civic awareness and strengthening democratic participation at community level, bringing together young people and local stakeholders to engage on the importance of active citizenship, voter education, and community development.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our partners EmpowerU Community Development Institute led by Melusi Mahlaba for partnering with us in advancing civic awareness and strengthening democratic participation within our communities.
We were honoured to host a visit from @Matthew Loken, representing the High Commission of Canada in South Africa, in support of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) project. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to highlight the impact of our joint work in promoting civic education and voter registration support at community level.
A special word of appreciation goes to Buhlebuyeza Motseme for facilitating the civic education session and sharing valuable insights with participants. We also thank the youth of Ntuzuma who attended and actively engaged in the programme, demonstrating their commitment to responsible citizenship and community development.
Together, through strong partnerships and community participation, we continue to empower citizens, strengthen democracy, and inspire the next generation of leaders.
